Water Quality - Hydrodynamics Assessment
Approach
EPD approved 3D water quality modelling software was used to predict hydrodynamic changes
associated with the wind farm. 7 locations in eastern waters were selected for study.
Results
The results are displayed below, please click on a location to see the predicted change in current
speed. In view of the insignificant changes in hydrodynamic conditions, adverse effects on the
water quality and significant changes to the sediment deposition and re-suspension rates as a
result of the presence of the wind farm are not anticipated.
