Benthic Ecology Habitat and Existing Species
A desktop study was undertaken to identify known habitats and species in Eastern waters. After this
a marine geophysical survey was conducted in August 2006 to survey and profile the entire wind
farm site area as well as a cable corridor of 200m from the site to the proposed landing point in
Tseung Kwan O. This could then be used to identify potential rocky outcrops and seabed makeup
for further studying of benthic infauna and epifauna.
Results
Based upon the marine geophysical survey the Study Area was divided into four zones
corresponding with the general bathymetry (please click on pink points to read).
