Installation Overview
After having conducted a comprehensive site search process, the next most important way to
reduce environmental impacts is to preemptively avoid them by selecting installation
methodologies that reduce potential impacts. Avoidance of impacts is always preferable to the
mitigate of impacts whenever possible. We talk of installation rather than construction because all
components would be prefabricated in specialist factories before being transported to the site for
installation.
The Project Proponent has put a lot of effort into carefully selecting the proposed foundations,
cables and turbines in order to adhere to the philosophy of avoiding and reducing the potential for

Once the installation methodologies had been selected it was possible to conduct the EIA. Where
there was a range of possible scenarios for installation, the EIA used the most conservative for
modelling to ensure the reasonable worst case was considered each time.
